Shadow of Night
by Deborah Harkness
Main Course ***** of *****
An absolutely wonderful, powerful and fascinating follow up to A Discovery of Witches. Harkness writes so beautifully and her blending of the paranormal with history is nothing short of marvelous. When you put her books down, it feels as if you are leaving very good friends with whom you may not cross paths again for a long time- delighted with the visit, closer than ever but bittersweet at the parting.
