Every Day, Every Hour

The first part - the childhood of the lovers, Luka and Dora is exquisite, beautifully written, evocative of the time, the place, the innocence and beauty of childhood. Unfortunately, the rest of the book simply does not live up to the opening. The interludes are stilted, the choices, mundane. The ending is lovely, though.
